Mattoon Mall:
Saturday March 5th, 10am-2pm
Saturday March 12th 10am-2pm
Opening Day is April 25th
PLEASE STAY OFF THE FIELDS WHEN WET.
Thank you to the following
volunteers for your support in the Concession Stand:
Each team is scheduled for one evening and
one tournament day serving in the concession stand.
We need 5 volunteers for the early shift
(5p to 7p) and 5 volunteers for the late shift (7p to 9p) for Every Evening.
We do not ask parents or players to sell candy door-to-door or take orders
for greeting cards. The concession stand is our Fund Raiser.
Every year the League invests in quality gear for the teams, pays officials
to umpire the games, maintain our facilities and invest in the future of the
Mattoon Junior Baseball League.
Please do your part to help your Team and this League by volunteering during
your assigned times. Without volunteers this league would NOT exist.

A MESSAGE FROM THE MJBL BOARD:
Dear Parents, Fans, Coaches and Players
MJBL Zero Tolerance
Policy
- Effective
immediately MJBL will institute a “zero tolerance” policy on
unacceptable behavior.
- This
behavior includes, but is not limited to, unsportsmanlike conduct of any
type. Including arguing or debating calls with umpires, speaking in a
disrespectable manner to any MJBL official, including umpires, gesturing
negatively towards umpires over calls, yelling in an inappropriate way
towards players, throwing anything in anger, or becoming physical in any
manner.
- This
policy applies to all MJBL participants. Coaches, Parents, and players.
THERE ARE, UNFORTUNATELY, SITUATIONS THAT ARISE WHERE THE FOCUS LEAVES THE FIELD OF PLAY AND, INSTEAD, BECOMES CONFRONTATIONAL. WE UNDERSTAND THAT THERE ARE GOING TO BE AREAS OF HONEST DISAGREEMENT. HOWEVER WE EXPECT THAT ALL PARTIES INVOLVED BEHAVE IN A MATURE AND ORDERLY FASHION SO THAT WE MAY ALL MAINTAIN OUR STATUS AS ROLE MODELS FOR THE PARTICIPANTS OF THIS LEAGUE.
THE COMMISSIONER IS ALWAYS AVAILABLE DURING AND AFTER THE GAMES. THANK YOU
FOR SUPPORT.
MJBL Rain Policy
Mattoon Parks Dept. and MJBL will make every
attempt to play games if weather permits. Our tight schedule requires us to keep
the games on track.
The decision to play or postpone may come
very close to game time as weather is being monitored. Always be ready to
play ball.
