City Tournament Rules

June 16^th-June 30th 2010

1.     No time limit for games. All games are 6 innings.

2.     First Round and continuing into the “Winner’s” bracket only, the home team will be decided by who is the higher seeded team.  In the case where two competing teams in the “Winners” bracket are at the same ranking, the team with the better regular season record is “Home”.

3.      A coin toss will determine the “Home Team” in the “Losers” bracket.

4.     In the Championship game, the “Winner’s” bracket participant will be home team.  If the “Losers” bracket participant wins the first game, a second game will be required.  For the second game, a coin toss will determine the “Home” team.

5.     For Coach Pitch, for the defense to stop the play the infielder must be in fair territory and show possession of the ball by raising the ball and both hands in the air to stop play.  At this time the umpire will call time out and the defensive player will return the ball to the coach pitcher.  If the defensive player does not stop the play with both hands in the air the play is still alive.
