 A  MESSAGE FROM THE MJBL BOARD:

 Dear Parents, Fans, Coaches and Players

 MJBL Zero Tolerance Policy 

• Effective immediately MJBL will institute a “zero tolerance” policy on unacceptable behavior.

• This behavior includes, but is not limited to, unsportsmanlike conduct of any type. Including arguing or debating calls with umpires, speaking in a disrespectable manner to any MJBL official, including umpires, gesturing negatively towards umpires over calls, yelling in an inappropriate way towards players, throwing anything in anger, or becoming physical in any manner.

• This policy applies to all MJBL participants. Coaches, Parents, and players.

THERE ARE, UNFORTUNATELY, SITUATIONS THAT ARISE WHERE THE FOCUS LEAVES THE FIELD OF PLAY AND, INSTEAD, BECOMES CONFRONTATIONAL. WE UNDERSTAND THAT THERE ARE GOING TO BE AREAS OF HONEST DISAGREEMENT. HOWEVER WE EXPECT THAT ALL PARTIES INVOLVED  BEHAVE IN A MATURE AND ORDERLY FASHION SO THAT WE MAY ALL MAINTAIN OUR STATUS AS ROLE MODELS FOR THE PARTICIPANTS OF THIS LEAGUE.   THE COMMISSIONER IS ALWAYS AVAILABLE DURING AND AFTER THE GAMES.  THANK YOU FOR SUPPORT.

MJBL Rain Policy

Mattoon Parks Dept. and MJBL will make every attempt to play games if weather permits. Our tight schedule requires us to keep the games on track.

The decision to play or postpone may come very close to game time as weather is being monitored.  Always be ready to play ball.
